FISHERS, Ind. — An investigation is underway after Fishers police said several people who walk the Nickel Plate Trail complained of “verbal and physical abuse.”

A social media post made by the Fishers Police Department Friday afternoon shows four photos of a man riding a bike, stating, “The Fishers Police Department is currently investigating several complaints of verbal and physical abuse, reported by individuals, who walk the Nickle Plate Trail.”

Police announced Saturday that they positively identified the man in the photos, but said no arrests have been made.

FPD said the man travels northbound on the Nickle Plate Trail between 8 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. Police used trail cameras to “pinpoint” the individual.

News 8 reached out to FPD and asked when the first complaint was filed, how many complaints there were, and the name of the man. Police did not provide an answer but replied, saying that this is an active investigation.

No further information was provided by police regarding the incidents.
