The Baltimore Ravens signed quarterback Austin Reed to their practice squad Monday afternoon as two of their rostered quarterbacks are expected to be sidelined ahead of Thursday night’s game.
Reed, 26, was competing with Joe Fagnano for the Ravens No. 3 quarterback job. Fagnano ultimately won the job and made his NFL regular season debut Sunday against the Bills.

Reed is no stranger to the National Football League.
He spent his rookie season on the Chicago Bears’ practice squad, where he was coach by current Ravens offensive coordinator Declan Doyle.
Last year, Reed led the United Football League in passing yards with the Dallas Renegades. He will likely back up Joe Fagnano Thursday against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
